Kepp began as a concept for a product which was backed by an app. Though I was mostly designing with children in mind as my target audience, I gradually altered the structure of the app to be more age-neutral. I believe that everyone is at least intrigued by the idea of space, so I wanted to create a product and software that appeals to every age group.
The purpose of Kepp is to allow users to explore the galaxy and educate themselves on its riches and intricacies. The app provides all of the support and information needed to learn as much as the user desires.  The home and menu screens are intuitive and structured with simplicity, making the complex function of exploring space easy to control.
The most important aspect of Kepp is that it gamifies the user's journey. Depending on the planet, moon, or star they choose to send Kepp, they can partake in quests and other various activities to help them learn more without sacrificing fun. Kepp has a built-in camera that enables users to take snapshots of their surroundings and learn tidbits of information with each picture. Maintaining Kepp is also straightforward as a simple menu with quick status updates is provided to the user.
When the user is ready for Kepp to return home, all they need to do is press "Come back Kepp!", and the little space explorer will make his way back to Earth.
